Wow! A crazy simple Ciabatta Bread…4 ingredients, 3 steps… that’s it! In this simplifized tip for the kitchen I show you how to make some awesome Ciabatta Bread! This recipe takes only minutes of prep time…but delivers amazing flavor. You can make it before bed and bake it in the morning or make it in the morning, set it aside and bake it fresh for dinner. I hope you love it as much as we do!
INGREDIENTS:
1/4 teaspoon active yeast
2 cups warm water
1 - 2 teaspoons salt
4 cups flour
Optional: Other seasonings (spices, cheese, sundried tomatoes, flaxseed, wheat germ, etc)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) MAKE IT: pour the yeast and warm water in a bowl and stir. Add the salt and flour and mix together. Dough will be sticky but that’s ok. You can add your own ingredients if you’d like at this point.
2) LEAVE IT: Cover bowl with plastic wrap or a towel and set in a warm place to rise. Let rise for 8-12 hours.
3) BAKE IT: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Plop dough onto a floured/cornmeal baking stone or baking sheet (a greased baking sheet will do to). Bake 25-30 minutes until lightly brown on top. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes (important to let cool so bread does not collapse when you cut into it). OPTION: brush melted butter and seasoning on top of bread before baking.
THAT’S IT!…ENJOY!!!
