US State Department: Your 1-Stop Resource For International Travel

I’m not sure I mentioned enough times in my last post, “Vacation Travel Preparation” , how useful and important it is to visit the US Department of State’s website when planning to go overseas. It has tons of information for you regarding passports, immunizations, emergency contact information, travel warnings, travel alerts and so on. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the idea of going on an exotic vacation to a foreign country, but we often forget to consider the criminal, health and terrorist threats associated with these places. I would encourage you to check out this site anytime you are thinking of taking a trip to a foreign country to either make you aware of, or alleviate, any concerns you may have regarding your travels.
